About Volunteering with AWaH

Our ability to serve children is directly dependent upon our many wonderful volunteers. We offer 10 week volunteer opportunities in the fall and in the winter/spring.  Choose to volunteer in our early childhood in-school program, called Creative Classroom Connections.  Or, volunteer for an after school program at various sites around Central Indianapolis.  No art experience is necessary; only a love for children.  Your time spent with AWaH will be deeply gratifying and very much appreciated.

Current Volunteer Opportunities:

During in-school programming, volunteers teach weekly visual arts lessons (no art experience necessary) to small groups of children.  In after school programming, volunteers assist art teachers at various locations.

Creative Classroom Connections:

Volunteer with us this school year! Opportunities are available NOW for our winter/spring semester Creative Classroom Connections program for kg, and 1st grade. Classroom volunteers will help prepare and clean up supplies, assist the teacher, and lead mini-lessons for students in small groups. Classes are during the school day, one day a week for 90 minutes. The Creative Classroom Connections winter/spring session will run from January through April.  In order to provide a quality program where volunteers develop relationships with students, we ask each volunteer to commit to at least 5 dates in one session.  Email volunteer@artwithaheart.us for current openings and with any questions.

After School Programs

Help Art With a Heart provide programming for K-12 students at various sites after school this spring! We need volunteers to assist teachers in setup, project work, and clean up. No art experience is necessary, just a happy attitude and a love for kids! Email volunteer@artwithaheart.us with any questions.
