We are proud to announce that we have extended our Art With a Heart summer camp offerings to include more available weeks as well as single day camps.  We have brought back some popular favorites and added lots of new options, too. So much to choose from!

Week-Long Camps

*Week-long camps cover BOTH topics listed*

  • Tailored to students entering grades 2nd – 8th (divided into 2 age groups: 2nd-4th & 5th and up)
  • Convenient drop-off time of 8:30am
  • Class time is 9:00am-4:00pm
  • Low teacher-to-student ratio
  • Maximum of 16 students per age group
  • All art materials included
  • Extended hours available 4:00-5:30pm ($25/student)
  • Cost is $200/week (sibling discount: -$10)

June 15-19: Papermaking, Bookbinding, & Fiber Arts

For half of their day, students will enjoy the art of paper making and learn various book binding techniques with Melissa Churchwell. For the second half of the day, students will explore fiber arts and experiment with felting and Katherine McKinnney.


June 22-26: Painting Techniques & Re-imagined Eco Art

Art With a Heart’s second week of art camp offers plenty of opportunities to get messy while learning a wide range of painting techniques with Marinana VanDerMolen. Students will also turn trash to treasure while repurposing recyclables with Claire Dillehay.


July 13-17: Printmaking & Fonts and Lettering

This week, students will get hands-on experience in printmaking. From stamping with found objects to screen printing and everything in between with Mariana VanDerMolen. Students will also learn about lettering with various fonts alongside Melissa Churchwell.


July 20-24: Ceramics & Felting

For the first half of their day, students will learn all about ceramics and hand-building techniques from Lori Leaumont. During the second half, students will experiment with dry felting alongside artist Gary Schmitt and have the opportunity to create both an abstract piece and a representational piece.

  • Class time is 9:00am-4:00pm

  • Maximum of 16 students per class

  • Extended hours available 4:00-5:30pm ($10/student)
  • Cost is $50 per student/day (sibling discount: -$5)

Tuesday, July 7: Alcohol Inks

Experiment and play with alcohol inks on tile, stone, and glass while learning from artist and veteran Michael Jones.


Tuesday, July 7: 3D Felting

Dive deeper into the art of felting with artist Gary Schmitt as students create a 3D animal.


Wednesday, July 8: Mind Mapping

Lori Leaumont will help students unlock the secrets of the brain with mixed media mind mapping. Use lines and color to show relationships and connections between ideas and images.


Wednesday, July 8: STEAM – Paper Vessels

Laura Hurrle will teach about the science behind papermaking. Students will be able to create a paper bowl.


Thursday, July 9: Alcohol Inks

Experiment and play with alcohol inks on tile, stone, and glass while learning from artist and veteran Michael Jones.


Thursday, July 9: Beads!

Melissa Churchwell will teach various bead making techniques in this bead making extravaganza!

Friday, July 10: STEAM – Mathematical Art

Math and science enthusiast, Laura Hurrle, will guide students in combining math and art through tessellations, spirolaterals, and parabolic curves, as well as an intro into Fibonacci art.
